Michael Goldie who was born in 1927 appeared in many TV roles between 1963 and 1996 beginning with The Avengers episode 'Brief for Murder' the first episode of series 3 which starred Patrick Macnee and Honor Blackman. The following year he appeared in an episode of Doctor Who that saw the Daleks invade Earth. In this story he played Craddock, a prisoner of the Daleks who is put in the same cell as William Hartnell and William Russell. Goldie appeared in six episodes of Z Cars between 1963 and 1973. He returned to Doctor Who for four episodes of the 1968 adventure 'The Wheel in Space' and two years later he was Mr Grey in seven episodes of the teenage drama series Smith
Other TV appearances included Coronation Street (as Bob Statham - 16 episodes), Wycliffe, Inspector Morse, Howard's Way, Minder, The Bill and an episode of Wycliffe in 1996 (his last acting role). His best known movie role was in the 1991 feature film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in which he played Kenneth of Cowfell.
Michael Goldie passed away in 2013. The exact date of his death is unknown at the time of writing.
