Jagdish Raj Khurana (1928 – 28 July 2013) was a Bollywood actor who holds a Guinness World Record for being the most type-cast actor. He played a police officer in 144 films.
He was born in 1928 in the town of Sargodha, British India, which is now in Pakistan. His daughter Anita Raj is also a Bollywood actress. Some of his popular movies include Deewar, Don, Shakti, Mazdoor, Imaan Dharam, Gopichand Jasoos, Silsila, Aaina and Besharam. Although Raj occasionally played a villain and a couple of times essayed the role of a judge he was best known for being cast a record number of times as a police officer. His career lasted from 1955 till 2004. Raj's last film was Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin in which he played a Deputy Inspector General.
His son-in-law Rakesh Malhotra told The Times of India he had been "in and out of hospital for the past two years" and died following a respiratory arrest.
