Actress Briony McRoberts died after being hit by a Tube train at Fulham Broadway station in west London. The 56-year-old, who was married to Downton Abbey actor David Robb, appeared in Scottish drama Take The High Road for nine years.
On television, appeared in The Professionals, The Bill, EastEnders, Taggart, The Crezz and Diamonds. Her regular role as Lady Laird Sam Hagan in the Scottish soap Take the High Road for STV was from 1990 to 1999. In 1976, she played Wendy Darling in a musical adaptation of J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan starring Mia Farrow and Danny Kaye on NBC's Hallmark Hall of Fame. In film, she played Margo Fassbender in The Pink Panther Strikes Again.
McRoberts was found on the tracks at Fulham Broadway station just after 8.30am on July 17, 2013. Agent Katie Threlfall said the "well-loved" and "vibrant" actress had taken her own life, describing the death as "unbelievably shocking".
