Does anyone know the title of a Sunday afternoon kids series, which opened each week with a boy throwing something at a German soldier, then running away before getting caught. It was on ITV in the early 60s (1961 ?). Also, about the same time I remember Stranger on the Shore, with the Acker Bilk theme tune. Are any of these programmes recorded and available anywhere? Thanks
The only one I can recall was The Silver Sword(based on the book of the same name) which aired in the late fifties starring Melvyn Hayes and Frazer Hines, it was set in war torn Poland and was about some kids trying to find their parents and dodging the German Troops on the way. It's not available to buy but you can view an episode at the Television Museum in Bradford.
Maybe somebody else on the forum may come up with another show it could be. In the mean time I'll keep digging
