Another person, part of our Entertainment history, that has departed with barely a mention, well I heard bog all about it....... As Im sure he wont be bothering to read this from the comfort of his cloud, it has to be said that his ventriloquism was barely above the standard of Peter Brough ( radio hid a mulitude of sins, like being a rubbish ventriloquist........)yet as kids we didnt care, the more fascinating the puppet the more attention it held. Thinking about it that Roger de Courcey fella was never too great at throwing his voice either, the Bear should have dumped him and went it alone years ago. Ray Allen, however, was and is, possibly, the very best I have ever seen.
It's funny you still picture these guys as they were when you watched them on telly in the 60's and when they pass away and you find out they were in their 80's it's a bit of a reality shock . Unfortunately we lost variety shows many years ago from our TV's, so many of our favourites from our childhood have not been seen on our telly's for some 30 to 35 years . Anyways , Terry Hall will be sadly missed
