A good choice I think. It'll be interesting to see how he plays the character as I imagine the Doctor will still have that 'kooky' side to him as all the Doctors had. I'm looking forward to the regeneration scene to see if the ginger hair is mentioned again as it was in the last two regenerations. Maybe the 13th Doctor will be played by Rupert Grint.
It's an interesting choice. Not sure one I'd have gone with myself but it will be interesting to see if the public in general take to an older Doctor. It will certainly change the dynamics of the show show and I think, following the most disappointing season since the series returned (IMHO) it could give the show the shot in the arm it needs right now.
I think last season was absolutely brilliant and it will be a tough act to follow, but I’m sure the writers and all concerned are up to the challenge and will not be found wanting.
The new Dr Who? Again, a brilliant and inspired choice. It’s not hard to see where the producers are going with this choice and it’s one that continues to maintain and uphold the cores values of this timeless television classic that has out lasted many other programmes and imitators since it’s inception. Dedicated fans of the show are in no doubt about that and in total agreement.
Once we'd learned of the departure of Amy & Rory I found the first half of series seven a bit dull but once Clara became the big mystery it improved and now we're left with the John Hurt as the Doctor mystery. One thing I hope they'll do sometime which they haven't done for many years is a historical story with no alien involvement.
