I'm glad to say Steve Landesberg (correct spelling) is alive and well. He's currently co-starring on the cable series 'Head Case', which features Alexandra Wentworth as a no-nonsense therapist who treats Hollywood stars. Landesberg plays a fellow therapist, Dr. Myron Finkelstein who according to the show's publicists, "is definitely in the old-school camp of psychiatry. There are no problems he can’t blame on an obsession with killing your father and having sex with your mother." 'Head Case' airs on the Starz pay cable channel (home to other original series as 'Crash' and 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand'). Sadly, I haven't seen 'Head Cases', so I can't comment on its quality. But Landesberg is a talented and funny actor who has long deserved a showcase for his wit as good as 'Barney Miller', where he played Detective Arthur Dietrich from 1976 until the series' finale in 1982. One of my favorite Dietrich quotes: "You can point to anything in the Sears catalog and someone, somewhere, will want to sleep with it."
